I just found out that I can stream U.S radio stations through iTunes! Have a look, this is definitely an improvement in the world. 1600 stations mean you don't have to sit through ads! I'm gonna check this out and post a couple of station recommendations.
Reports are done now, so I plan to sleep for... about 27 hours.

I can't believe somone as itune savvy as yourself only just realised that!! i knew that ages ago... incidentally you can also listen to air traffic control towers (my ex bf was studying to be one, so it was on a lot)- if all else fails, every radio station has to have a website and normally can be streamed live from that...

Music savvy, yes. Technology savvy, no! I had naively assumed that most functions of iTunes were still unavailable in the New Zealand region. My discovery of the radio thing came out of a burgeoning interest in the iTunes Store, which is a whole different (huge) post!
